Choosing a resort means choosing your holiday. The Alps are full of great ski areas. But few combine, like Courchevel, the scale of the skiing, the charm of a real village, and a life off the slopes just as rich. Here, concretely, is what sets it apart.

600 km of pistes, one pass
Courchevel is the gateway to the 3 Valleys — 600 km of runs linking 8 resorts by lifts alone. Courchevel itself offers 150 km and 105 runs up to 2,738 m — enough to ski a full week without repeating a single descent.

Beginners, families, experts — everyone finds their slope
Courchevel is not just for advanced skiers. Its wide, gentle, sunny runs are perfect for beginners and improvers — with the largest ESF presence in France. 617 snow cannons guarantee 43% of the domain even in low snowfall. Experts are never far from challenging terrain.

A mountain village, not a ski factory
At a comfortable altitude, among the pine trees, Courchevel has kept its wooden chalets, their atmosphere and their life. You stroll in the evening, you dine, you wander. A free shuttle connects all the villages every 30 minutes from 7am to 1:30am — no car needed once you’ve arrived.

When you're not skiing (or can't)
Courchevel is also lived off the slopes. In Courchevel 1650, Aquamotion is the largest mountain aquatic centre in Europe (opened 2015): heated indoor and outdoor pools, lagoon, indoor surf wave, spa, hammam, sauna, climbing wall. Add the covered ice rink, bowling, cinema, dog sledding, snowmobiling, paragliding… Even on no-ski days, there’s always something to do.

The gourmet capital of the Alps
No other resort concentrates so many exceptional restaurants: 8 Michelin-starred establishments, 13 stars in total — including Cheval Blanc (3★), Le K2 and Le Chabichou (2★ each). And next to the hotel, Restaurant Henri — 13th out of 157 in Courchevel on TripAdvisor, Trophy 2025.
Events that make the legend
Every winter since 2003 — spectacular fireworks fired from the slopes, visible from all of Moriond.
Co-organised with Méribel — Courchevel hosted the world's alpine skiing elite on its slopes.
Ski jumping and Nordic combined — an Olympic legacy that places Courchevel in sporting history.
New Year festivities, torchlight descents and family events throughout the season.
